On Wednesday, March 14, the European-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce organized a seminar under the auspices of Ing. Jaroslav Faltýnek, the deputy and chairman of the Agricultural Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament. The seminar, which discussed relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, was attended by prominent representatives from both Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.

The seminar on the present and future of mutual relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic was commenced with the introductory words of Jaroslav Faltýnek, chairman of the Agricultural Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of CR. “Both countries, Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, have much in common. They are very tolerant states, both celebrating the 100th anniversary of their modern statehood this year. In addition, Azerbaijan is one of our strategic partners, not only because one third of Czech oil consumption comes from Azerbaijan,” Jaroslav Faltýnek said at the beginning of the seminar.

The seminar opened the topics of Azerbaijan and the energy security of the Czech Republic, trade cooperation between the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan, or the political situation in Azerbaijan.

Aside from Jaroslav Faltýnek, the seminar was attended by J.E. It is in the interests of the European-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce to participate in the organization of cultural and social events promoting Azerbaijan and to facilitate the development of bilateral trade and industrial cooperation between the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan,” said President of the European-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce David Snášel.
