Czech entrepreneurs visited Ismayilli region and discussed production of Czech Lipanek in Azerbaijan

In early November 2018 a delegation comprised of Czech businessmen visited Azerbaijan. This visit organized by the European Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Czech Republic, specifically focused on agricultural region of Azerbaijan – Ismayilli. During the visit the delegation discussed possibilities of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Czech Republic. One of the possible joint projects between South Bohemia region, Czech Republic and Ismayilli, Azerbaijan is a joint venture that will produce Czech milk delicacy, Lipanek.

The Czech delagation, accompanied by an Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Czech Republic H.E. Farid Šafijev and a Senator of the Czech Parliament Tomash Jirsa visited Azerbaijan between 4th and 7th of November. During their Ismayilli visit the delegation visited, for example, city of Lachic, Haydar Aliyev Park and a Japanese garden in Ismayilli city, Buta Agropark, AzNar, ISMA-BIKES, and a carpet factory.

“First of all, this agricultural mission to Azerbaijan gave us further possibilities to expand cooperation between the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan. At an official meeting with the Governor of the Region Ismayilli Mirdamad Sadigov, we also discussed the project between the South Bohemian Madeta and the Ismayilli region in the form of a joint venture that will produce very the popular in the Czech Republic product Lipanek. We will continue to work on this project, “said Czech entrepreneur and president of the EACOC David Snashel.

After visiting Ismayilli, the Czech delegation headed to Baku, where guests attended further meetings with a Deputy minister Rufat Mammadov at the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and representatives of AZ Promo where they discussed joint projects with TATRA TRUCKS, Skoda Transportation and Madeta.

Later, Czech representatives met with Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Valeh Alasgarov, and then visited Embassy of the Czech Republic where they met with the Ambassador Milan Ekrt and Counsellor Jan Jindrich. At the meeting they discussed long-term relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
