EACOC organized Azerbaijani cuisine evening for Czech journalists

The European-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce promotes not only development of mutual business relations between Azerbaijani and Czech entrepreneurs but also supports cultural events that bring Azerbaijani culture closer to Czech people. On April 4th, 2019, the EACOC in cooperation with the Caspian restaurant, organized evening of Azerbaijani cuisine for Czech journalists.  The aim was to popularize the cuisine of Azerbaijan since it is not very well known in the Czech Republic.

For hundred of years Azerbaijan has been renowned for its national cuisine, which in abundance uses fruits, vegetables, aromatic herbs and spices. Even the most experienced gourmands arriving in this country from all over the world are delighted by a refinement of flavors and subtle aromas of local dishes.

Dining in Azerbaijan is an event that takes hours. Unlike other nations, Azerbaijanis are not in a hurry to eat their food. The table is served a way so that everyone can choose something for their taste. Eldar Valiyev, Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of the European-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce, also informed guests about cultural traditions associated with Azerbaijani dining.

Chef Ogtay Nasibov, already for more than two years offers in Prague Azerbaijani dishes for visitors of the Azerbaijani restaurant Caspian.  For this special occasion he has prepared a very interesting menu where guests were able to be acquainted with such traditional Azerbaijani dishes as dolma, shashlik and a very tasty pachlava dessert.
